Need some catering inspiration for your future event? As event programming increased this semester, more student groups have chosen catering options that adhered to our COVID-19 food distribution policies. The bubble graph above reveals all the different catering options used this past semester, including both on-campus and off-campus restaurants, sized by popularity.

This past semester, our student groups have utilized various modes of advertisements to attract as many students to their events as permitted by UCAE’s COVID-19 Event Capacity Restrictions. Please note the following details regarding the advertising methods featured above:

  1. Facebook advertising includes posting on club Facebook pages, All-Duke/Duke Campus Facebook Page, posts made by individual club members, and class facebook pages

  2. Instagram advertising includes members posting on their stories and posting on a club’s page

  3. GroupMe refers to the class group chats on GroupMe

  4. University-wide email blasts include ESG blasts, DSG’s president’s blast, majors/minors listservs, and emails to classes

  5. Tabling includes those who tabled at the West Campus Bryan Center Plaza and/or in front of East Campus Marketplace

We highly encourage groups to take advantage of these free methods of advertising as SOFC does not fund social media, online, or print advertisements (see Funding Policies & Procedures for more details).
